Williamsburg

Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kayla were in town visiting this weekend and we took them to Williamsburg. Josh requested we take the camera so he could take pictures. He's gotten much better at using our camera, and so many of his pictures turned out well. Here are a few...
He has quite the eye for various textures as we are discovering in many of his pictures.

Back Yard

Daddy let our guy loose in the back yard this past week. He snapped quite a few pictures, but these were our favorites. :) We will try and be better at posting more pictures come this spring...life has calmed down a bit, and there will be more things for him to take pictures of pretty soon. :)

Quick Disclaimer: These photos are photos that my son took. He did not get any prompting, he did not have any help. We did not tell him what to photograph. These are unedited photos that he took of things that interest him. Enjoy!

Jesus said,

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” ~Matthew 19:14 Know what hits me the most from this verse? The part that says "...and do not hinder them." How often do we hinder our kids because we don't think they're old enough or capable of doing things? Jesus specifically said that the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Children are important to God. He has given them gifts and talents that we don't always see because we're so busy with the day to day of routines, playing, discipline, shopping, etc. This weekend my parents were in town and we took the kids to Colonial Williamsburg for the day. While we were there, my mom taught my three year-old how to use her camera. Not only were we enlightened by his view of the world, we were incredibly impressed with the pictures he took. This is the purpose of this blog. This is not my blog. This is my son's blog. I am excited to share the pictures from our budding photographer, and I hope that you will gain a new perspective as you look at his photos. Children are not to be underestimated. I was reminded of that yesterday as I looked at his pictures.
